About us

Association of Nepalese in Quebec (ANQ) is a non-profit organization constituted by the Nepalese community and Nepalese cultural supporters residing in Quebec in 2001 to assist those of Nepalese origin people during their integration to Canadian  multicultural society, co-operate each other as needed and to participate actively in general community.

Our Objectives:

- Protect, preserve and promote Nepalese culture, art and language.

- Help new comers to smooth integration and understand Canadian multicultural society.

- Educate its fellow members to understand the multicultural and multilingual Canadian society.

- Build a cordial relationships with federal and provincial government as well as with local non-government and international organizations, whose objectives are similar to those of ANQ.

- Encourage and assist its members to establish small and medium size businesses.

- Launch suitable community programs to encourage Nepalese youths residing in Quebec and other provinces of Canada to participate in the socio-development activities.

- Provide volunteers for social services as and when needed.

- Organize workshops, meetings, social events to maintain and improve harmonic relations among the fellow members.

दोधार मन अल्झीरहेछ झीनो आशमा

कहिले लाग्छ आधा मेरा सपनाहरु

आफैबाट आफनो छाँया निस्कीएर पर बसी

दोधारको स्थीतीमा खित्का छाडी हाँसीदिन्छ

कहिले फेरी त्यही मनले सान्त्वनाको ढाडस दिन्छ

पुरा हुने लक्ष्यहरुका सपना फेरी देखाइदिन्छ


बिचलीत मनका लहरहरु हुरी बनेर टाढा जान्छ

सुन्दर मेरा सपनाहरु उडाएर क्षीतीजमा लान्छ

त्यही पागल मनलाइ फेरी बिवेकले बाँधी राख्न

ANQ successfully concluded its 7th Mini Marathon on Sunday, 15th September 2019 at Jarry Park. The weather was really nice.
Following were the winners (38 runners in total) :

Men (8 Km)
Rabin Kadel – 1st
Prakash Mungrati – 2nd
Gobind Budha Magar – 3rd

Women (4 Km)
Usha Mangrati – 1st
Goma Aryal – 2nd
Mala Budha Magar – 3rd

Children (4 Km)
Regal Khanal – 1st
Pranav Gupta – 2nd
Raymon Khanal – 3rd

Special thanks to ANQ Advisor Bal Mukunda Maharjan, Saizen Sushi for contributing cash prize to the winners as follows.

Men Category – 100/50/25 dollars (1st/2nd/3rd positions)

Women/ Children Category – 75/50/25 dollars (1st/2nd/3rd positions)

ANQ community members from Montreal area came to cheer and volunteer. The number of participants was good and the event was a great fun. ANQ team members and volunteers did a great job for concluding this event successfully.

The trophies and medals were awarded by ANQ President Yubaraj Bhandari and Vice-President Geeta Baral to the winners and those who completed the race. The event was hosted by ANQ Executive Member Deep Nandan Achhami. ANQ Advisor Bal Mukunda Maharjan thanked the pioneers and ANQ for organizing the event. ANQ President congratulated all the winners and thanked all for their time and support.

ANQ managed to serve light breakfast to all participants during the event.

ANQ would like to congratulate the winners and thank the runners, volunteers, donor and all the participants.
