La route de soi - screened to help earthquake victims

Movie Viewer

Aventuriers Voyageurs and ANQ jointly organized and screened a movie "La route de soi" to support earthquake victims of Nepal on May 11, 2015 at Cinema Beaubien, Montreal. The film was about the travel of a Canadian to various countries of Asia including Nepal. One third of the movie was filmed in Nepal as per film producer/director/actor Mr. Claude Pilotte.

The screening of the movie was huge success as the hall was almost full and the event was able to raise a little more than $3,400 from tickets and donations. Well-wishers / friends of Nepal from Montreal and around were so curious and eager to help the victims of the earthquake. The cinema hall was provided Free of charge by Cinema Beaubien.

Movie screening welcome

In the beginning, movie producer Mr. Pilotte briefed about the movie and motive of screening highlighting that 100% of the revenue generated will be donated and sent to Nepal via relief fund created by ANQ. ANQ president Mr. Muga Rajbhandari, expressed the gratitude for generous help/support for the cause stating that Nepalese are not alone here in Quebec, but have a big circle of friends.

ANQ would like to thank Mr. Claude Pilotte - Aventuriers Voyageurs, volunteers and viewers for their support. Their support means a lot for Nepalese community and Nepal's earthquake victims.
