The Association of Nepalese in Quebec (ANQ) brought the Nepalese community together for a day of fun, food, and fellowship at their annual 'Summer Picnic 2024' on July 27, 2024. Held at the scenic Promenade de Bellerive Parc, the event saw a significant number of attendees, including families, friends, and guests from the broader Quebec community.

The festivities kicked off at 10 a.m. with a traditional welcome ceremony. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as participants arrived, setting up colorful tents and picnic spreads. The event featured a blend of cultural and recreational activities, showcasing the rich heritage of Nepal while celebrating the spirit of summer in Quebec. The picnic offered a variety of recreational activities for all ages. No Nepalese gathering is complete without a feast, and the 'Summer Picnic 2024' did not disappoint. As previously mentioned, the Potluck was the main attraction, Attendees were treated to an array of traditional Nepali dishes, including Barbecue, Pulau, Samosa, and a variety of curries, chutneys, and deserts provided a taste of home for many, and a introduction to Nepali cuisine for visitors in the parks too. The picnic also served as a platform for community engagement and support. The ANQ took the opportunity to raise awareness about their ongoing projects and initiatives for the upcoming programs aimed at supporting the Nepalese community in Quebec.

In his opening remarks, ANQ President Deep Nandan Achhami expressed gratitude to all the volunteers and participants who made the event possible. It's heartening to see our community come together in such large numbers."
