The ANQ Executive Members Honored International Everest Day Organized by

the Embassy of Nepal, Ottawa

In a gesture of international solidarity and mountaineering spirit, the Association of Nepalese in Quebec (ANQ) joined the commemoration of International Everest Day on May 29th, Organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Canada at Sheraton Laval Hotel. Honoring the invitation extended by the Embassy of Nepal, Ottawa the ANQ representatives celebrated the historic achievements and enduring legacy of Everest climbers.

Attendees immersed themselves in the rich culture of Nepal, highlighted by the presentation by the Embassy on the nation's majestic Culture, vibrant traditions, hospitality, and world’s amazing landscapes. The event served as an emotional reminder of the profound connection between Canada and Nepal, united by a shared admiration for the world's tallest peak. After Honoring the Canadian Mountaineers, in his remarks, the Ambassador of Nepal Honorable Bharat Raj Paudel expressed gratitude for the attendees including the ANQ’s delegation's participation, emphasizing the significance of Everest as a symbol of human determination and cooperation across borders.
