The Association of Nepalese in Quebec (ANQ) successfully organized the Dashain Celebration Program 2082 (2025) on October 4, 2025, at Ganesh Party Palace, 300 Blvd. Marcel-Laurin, Saint-Laurent, QC. The event took place from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, bringing together around 80 attendees, including children and community members, to celebrate Nepal’s biggest festival with joy and togetherness.

The evening began with the respectful presentation of the Nepali National Anthem and the Canadian National Anthem, symbolizing unity and multicultural pride. ANQ President Deep Nandan Achammi warmly welcomed all attendees, followed by inspiring remarks from ANQ Advisors Mahendra Raj Karki and Prakash Mangrati.

The cultural program commenced around 8:15 PM with a heartfelt performance by Salyan Bhattarai, who paid tribute to the recent loss during the Gen-Z protest in Nepal through his performance on Adrian Pradhan's song "Sambhodhan". The performance was followed by an appealing solo dance by Swastika Adhikari and a melodious duet by Bashpi Bhattarai and Shanvi Gautam, which added charm to the celebration.

Dipen Tamang delighted the audience with two soulful songs, while Madalasha Bista energized the crowd by singing the popular song “Kafle.” The evening also welcomed a new local singer, whose energetic performance brought everyone to the dance floor. The event concluded with an open dance session, where attendees joyfully celebrated the spirit of Dashain.

The evening also featured delicious food that added warmth to the festivities. Although attendance was slightly lower than anticipated, the event’s energy, music, and cultural ambiance perfectly captured the essence of Dashain. Continuing the Nepali Dashain tradition, Pabitra Baral offered Tika and Jamara with blessings to attendees, beautifully maintaining the spirit of the festival far from home.
