The Association of Nepalese in Quebec (ANQ) joyfully celebrated Haritalika Teej on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 945 Cartier St, Montreal, QC H2G 1S7—the same venue as last year.

This year’s celebration welcomed around 30 female members, which was fewer than the previous year, but the gathering was no less vibrant and memorable. The women arrived in their traditional red attire, radiating joy, elegance, and the true spirit of Teej.

The program was filled with fun, food, music, and dance. Delicious food was served by Everest Momo, adding a special flavor to the evening. As the women danced enthusiastically to Teej songs, the hall was filled with laughter, happiness, and the essence of Nepalese culture. The event created an atmosphere of sisterhood, solidarity, and friendship, reminding everyone of the strength of community and the beauty of shared traditions.

This year, on August 25, 2025, the participant extended the gathering by observing brata (fasting) and performing Teej pooja at the Himalayan Yoga Center in Terrebonne, thereby keeping alive the sacred traditions of this festival.
