The Association of Nepalese in Quebec (ANQ) successfully celebrated its annual Summer Picnic & BBQ on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the beautiful Jarry Park in Montreal (205 Rue Gary-Carter, Montréal, QC H2R 2V7). The event brought together around 130 community members for a fun-filled and memorable afternoon.

The weather was perfect for an outdoor gathering, with sunshine and a light breeze. The picnic officially began around 12:30 PM with registration, followed by tasty snacks from Everest Momo Restaurant, Montreal. After the snacks, a brief 15-minute official program was held. ANQ President Mr. Deep Nandan Achhami warmly welcomed everyone with an opening speech and quick updates on ANQ activities, followed by a short and thoughtful message from Mr. Robin Kandel. By 1:30 PM, the much-anticipated BBQ was fired up, with Mr. Saurav Gautam preparing delicious grilled items live on the spot. The aroma and flavors added even more excitement to the gathering.

There were plenty of fun activities for children, including musical chairs, Squid Game-inspired challenges, Blindfold Pot Hitting and much more. Adults joined in the fun as well, dancing to Nepali songs and singing together, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere.

The event concluded with a hearty and authentic Nepali dinner featuring dal, bhat, mutton curry, paneer curry, and a variety of other traditional dishes, along with a delicious dessert—once again catered by Everest Momo Restaurant.

Overall, it was a day full of laughter, good food, and strong community spirit. ANQ thanks all participants, volunteers, and supporters for making the event a grand success!
